She graduated from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai where she subsequently completed her MD in General Medicine with a University Gold Medal. She pursued Critical Care training at Apollo Hospitals and completed the Indian Diploma (IDCCM), the Fellowship (IFCCM) in Critical Care Medicine and European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC) and is currently working as Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at Apollo Main Hospitals, Chennai.

She is an accredited Instructor for the Basic and Advanced Life Support Courses of American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Trauma Life Support ( ATLS) and also Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) program.

Dr Sristi has a passion for healthcare quality and is currently pursuing her Masters in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety at the Harvard Medical School.
