Dr. Riaz Dastagir graduated from the prestigious Madras Medical College. He subsequently worked as a Medical Officer in ONGC & South-Central Railway Hospitals and in the Critical Care Unit at Vijaya Hospitals & Malar Hospitals and completed Certificate Course in Community Critical Care. After several years of experience in ICU at Vijaya Hospitals, Malar Hospital and Apollo First Med Hospitals, he pursued formal training and completed the Certificate Course (CTCCM) and Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM). He is currently working as intensivist at Apollo Spectra Hospital at MRC Nagar, Chennai.
