Dr. Pratheema Ramachandran graduated MBBS from Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Salem, and completed her postgraduate training in Anaesthesiology (DNB) at the National Board of Examinations, Apollo Main Hospitals, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She further specialised in Critical Care, obtaining a Diploma (IDCCM) and Fellowship (IFCCM) from the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), as well as the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC).
Besides serving as a regular teaching faculty and examiner for courses organised by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), and contributing to various book chapters published by ISCCM, she is also the local host organiser and course director for the Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) course accredited by the Neurocritical Care Society of the USA.
She had been an active member of the Society of NeuroCritical Care (SNCC), India, and an executive board member of the College of NeuroCritical Care (CNCC), India. In addition to receiving a Presidential Citation, she was also honoured with an Honorary Fellowship (FSNCC).
She is a certified Simulation trainer and a regular teaching faculty member at Apollo Simulation Centre. She holds memberships with PediSTARS, the Society of Healthcare Simulation, India, and the USA. She has a Level 3 Honours in Simulation Training and previously served as the coordinator for simulation training at TACT Academy of Clinical Training (May 2024 – Jan 2025).
She is currently a Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead at Apollo Specialty Hospitals, OMR, Chennai.
