Dr. Pratheema Ramachandran graduated from Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Salem and pursued postgraduation in Anesthesiology (DNB) from National Board of Examinations at Apollo Main hospitals, Chennai, Tamilnadu.. She subsequently pursued Critical Care and completed Diploma (IDCCM) and Fellowship (IFCCM) of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) and European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC).
Apart from being a regular teaching faculty / examiner for courses conducted by Indian society of critical care medicine (ISCCM), and her contributions to various book chapters published by ISCCM, she is also the local host organizer & course director for Emergency Neurological Life support (ENLS) course accredited by Neurocritical care Society of USA.
She is also an editorial committee member for ‘Critical care communications’, ISCCM, India.
She had been an active member of the Society of NeuroCritical Care, SNCC, India and executive board member of the College of NeuroCritical Care, CNCC, India. Apart from being awarded with Presidential Citation, she was also conferred with an Honorary Fellowship (FSNCC).
She holds a level 3 honours in Simulation training and is currently the coordinator for simulation training at TACT Academy of Clinical training. She is certified Simulation trainer- regular teaching faculty at Apollo Simulation centre, holds memberships of PediSTARS , Society of Healthcare simulation, India and USA.
She is currently a Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead at Apollo Specialty Hospitals, OMR, Chennai.
